I began my art career in the medium of drawing, and entirely inspired by comic books.  This continued throughout my school years, and expanded to experimenting with many different mediums and finding further inspiration from Surrealism.  I was accepted to Sheridan College in their Media Arts program, where Photography became my primary medium for creating art.  It is with Landscape Photography that inspires me to travel and see the world as it is, while Photo Manipulation allows my imagination to create Surreal places.

It is the balance between photographing real places and creating surreal ones, that never keeps me stagnant and always looking for the next place to travel and explore.  I often don't have a pre-conceived idea of the surreal places I create, but rather let the places I see be the opening to new ideas.  There are many places I go where I would never change a thing, and other places that make me wonder "what if this was there?".  This will prompt either a complex manipulation of a photo or a simple touch of juxtaposition.  In either case, the final result of any of my Surreal pieces, is to make you question "Is that a real place?".
